Back in 1981 when Kikuo Ibe, the Chief Engineer at the firm’s Research and Development Division, after breaking his watch, put together a team which after two years of design, prototyping created the first ever G-Shock watch in 1983.
30 years later Casio has introduced the G-Shock 30th Anniversary Rising Red Collection($TBA) to not only recognize 30 years of an extremely successful range of watches but also to commemorate and symbolically salute the perseverance and endurance used to help and unite the great earthquake & tsunami that hit Japan in 2011
